Newport Beach ranges from small cottages on Balboa Island and the Peninsula to 1960s and 1970s family homes in Eastbluff, Westcliff and Harbor View, and large homes in Corona del Mar and Big Canyon. Near the water every one of them deals with salt, sand and damp. A deep clean is where all of that gets reset at once.
We come from Orange, with no travel charge. After the first deep clean, regular cleaning from $120 a visit keeps it there.
Balboa Island and Peninsula cottages are small, but they are full of detail: painted wood floors, built in benches, narrow stairs, old windows and tiny bathrooms. Sand gets into every corner and the damp makes it stick. In a small space we can take the time to do every corner, sill and stair by hand.
Many Newport homes sit closed for weeks or months. When they open again, there is dust on every surface, a stale smell in closets, and sometimes mildew in a bathroom that was shut. A deep clean before the owners or guests arrive airs it out, wipes every surface and takes care of the bathrooms and the kitchen properly.
The family neighborhoods on the bluffs were mostly built in the 1960s and 1970s and many have been remodeled. You often find a new kitchen next to an older bathroom, and a lot of glass facing the view. Each surface gets the product that suits it, and the view windows are cleaned inside until they are clear, not streaky.
Larger homes in Corona del Mar and Big Canyon often have marble, limestone and fine fixtures. We use pH neutral stone cleaner, never vinegar or acidic sprays, and dry the surfaces so they do not streak or etch.
Not part of a deep clean: moving heavy furniture, shampooing carpets, outside windows on a second floor, and litter boxes or cages. More detail on deep cleaning and deep vs regular cleaning.
A deep clean is $249 for the first two hours, then $100 for each additional hour. You get an estimate before we start and pay after the work is done.
A small cottage can finish near the starting price. A large home with stone, many bathrooms and a lot of glass takes considerably longer. You get an estimate before we start.
